About MyKeshou

Beauty discovery, the way it should work

Why we built this

MyKeshou started from a familiar frustration. Finding the right moisturiser — fragrance-free, under $40, good for oily skin — meant opening a dozen retailer tabs, wading through SEO-stuffed round-up articles, and still ending up with a list of products that didn't quite fit the brief. The information existed, scattered across brand sites, beauty blogs, and Reddit threads. What was missing was a way to search it all at once and actually describe what you needed in plain language.

Keshou — your beauty advisor inside MyKeshou — was built to close that gap. Describe your skin type, finish, ingredient preferences, budget, or occasion; Keshou searches connected brand catalogues in real time and returns products you can compare side by side, then click through to buy directly from the brand.

How we're different from Google and Sephora

Versus Google

A Google search for “lightweight moisturiser for oily skin” returns a mix of sponsored ads, SEO-optimised listicles written for ranking rather than accuracy, and brand pages with their own commercial angle. You get ten blue links and the work of synthesising them yourself. MyKeshou skips the articles entirely and searches actual product catalogues — returning real SKUs with real prices, filtered to your brief, in a single conversation.

Versus Sephora (or any single retailer)

Sephora is a single retailer. Its search results are limited to the brands it stocks, shaped by exclusivity agreements, and influenced by which brands pay for prominent shelf placement. If the product you need is from a brand Sephora doesn't carry, it simply won't appear. MyKeshou searches across 25+ independent brand catalogues simultaneously — no exclusivity, no sponsored placement, and no single retailer's commercial priorities filtering what you see.

What that means for you

The products that appear in Keshou's results are there because they matched your query — not because a brand paid to be there. We earn a small affiliate commission if you buy through one of our links (see our affiliate disclosure), but commission rates do not change which products appear or in what order.

Who we are

MyKeshou is an independent project founded by Kenneth. It is deliberately small — built to stay neutral rather than scale into a platform dependent on brand partnerships or advertising revenue.

The editorial blog is written in-house. Product data comes directly from brand catalogues via Shopify, so prices and availability reflect what each brand's own store shows. We do not manufacture, hold stock, or process payments — when you are ready to buy, you go straight to the brand.

Information on MyKeshou is for shopping discovery only — not medical advice. Always read ingredient labels, patch test new products, and consult a licensed professional for skin conditions or treatments.
